Because voters allow the Lib Dems to get away with it

One thing I'm sure all candidates and all voters I've spoken to agree on is that we live in one of the best places in London, if not the whole country. Various national newspaper features often confirm what we already know.
This is not down to the Council, and it wouldn't be down to the council even if it was Conservative led.
Our parks, river, and leafy streets are part of the reason. Social and economic demographics are another. We have very low levels of social deprivation, and relatively high average incomes which sustain a healthy local economy.
So why is our Council Tax the 4th highest in London?
No scrutiny of Lib Dem spending
Vanity projects
Excessive councillor bonuses
Millions of pounds worth of man hours spent on PR
Financial mis-management of large projects such as the Riverside Development
Huge sums of money spent on traffic management consultants
etc etc etc
In 8 years of Conservative control the council raised Council Tax 3%. In 8 years under the Lib Dems it has risen 39%. The choice is in the voter's hands.
