A vote for leadership, entrepreneurial business experience, and financial acumen.
The great lessons I have learnt during 30 years in the publishing and conferencing sector is that managing costs and motivating people underpin every success. As Publishing Director of the UK's largest independent healthcare publisher I have been responsible for running very large multi-million pound budgets, launching ground-breaking projects, and innovating to reduce costs. Your vote can help me apply these skills to help shape a more effective council.
Local for 35 years
Twickenham Riverside has been my home since 1991. For many years I rented before I was finally able to buy. My first home was a wooden pavilion on Eel Pie Island which was an idyllic, if cold, introduction to Twickenham life! At other times I was on Amyand Park Road, Ducks Walk, Riverdale Gardens, Cross Deep, Lebanon Park & Napoleon Road.
As a neighbour for 35 years, many of you reading this will know me, met me, or at the very least seen me around. Maybe at concerts, playing chess on Church St,, paddling my yellow canoe on the river, or maybe cycling my daughter to school. I played first class rugby for London Scottish in the '90s and still put my boots on for the Richmond Heavies vets. Without doubt though, my sporting highlight has been the occasional victory in the Eel Pie Twickenham festival tug of war.
