Don't let the Lib Dems close Richmond Bridge to all but TFL traffic

After years of trying, and hundreds of thousands of pounds spent on consultants to no effect, the Lib Dems are still  determined to close Richmond to traffic irrespective of the huge negative impact to thousands of residents.

I spoke to an impassioned couple who live in Cresswell Road in East Twickenham.  The bridge had just been closed for a few hours due to an accident and the traffic chaos throughout Twickenham and St Margarets was enormous.  This would be our new day to day nightmare if the Lib Dems get their way. 

This couple (I forgot to write down their names) said they would have to travel via the St Margarets rounderbout to travel to Ham or Sheen.  As would many thousands of other residents.  I can only guess at the additional pollution and traffic queues this will cause.

The Lib Dems have kept the money in their budget to implement these schemes yet I haven't seen them feature in their election literature.  Yet anothe example of a lack of transparence from a Lib Dem Council thats has grown arrogant with absolute power.

Traffic won't go away.  It will be forced onto surrounding roads.
