Do you think you live in a mansion? Within 4 years the Council might.

The Council you vote for will soon be re-assessing your house value for tax

On my rounds I've surprised many people with facts about how the Council spends their money.

However, when it comes to the subject of mansion tax I've been surprised myself.

As a rule of thumb, the grander the house, the less bothered the owners seem to be about the extra charge on their property.  One even said "it's less than the price of a first class ticket" !  Many of these houses have Lib Dem signage at their gates.

In some ways it reflects well on those that are very comfortably off that they feel its fair they pay the extra.

But for very large numbers of householders in Twickenham Riverside, the reassessment of their homes in the next 4 years is a huge worry.  Large numbers of terraced houses, many with big morgages, are going to be re-assessed for the new mansion tax.

Would you rather a Conservative Council dedicated to keeping tax bills as low as they can assesed your house.  Or the Twickenham Lib Dems who have taken everry opportunity to raise tax the maximum they can since taking office?

Twickenham Lib Dems have pushed for a mansion tax for years.  Now we're going to pay the price.
